Your Body Is Not the Enemy
Nov 16, 2025
Your body is not the enemy, She is the home of your power.
For too many years, I looked at my body as a project to fix, a problem to solve, or a battle to win.
Smaller. Skinnier. Prettier.
Always chasing “better,” never arriving at enough.
Maybe you know that feeling, . Waking up in the morning already negotiating with yourself — what to eat, what not to eat, how much you’ll punish yourself at the gym, how tightly you’ll pull in your stomach at the mirror.
I did it for years.
Decades, even.
And here’s the thing: the world applauded me for it.
When I shrank, people said, “You look amazing!”
When I smiled through exhaustion, people said, “You’re such a superwoman!”
When I ignored my body’s whispers, I was rewarded for pushing harder, producing more, performing better.
But inside, I was crumbling.
Because here’s the truth no one tells you: your body is not the enemy.
It never has been.
It is the home of your power, the vessel of your wisdom, the living, breathing manifesto of your life.
Your body carries the stories of everything you’ve lived through.
Every scar. Every stretch mark. Every wrinkle. Every gray hair.
All of it is a testament — not to your flaws, but to your resilience.
And yet, when we look in the mirror, most of us don’t see resilience.
We see “not enough.”
We see what the culture told us to hate.
But sister, here’s what I need you to hear:
-
When you listen to your body, she whispers.
-
When you ignore her, she screams.
-
And when you love her… she rises.
This pillar — Her Body — is your invitation to come home.
To stop treating your body with suspicion or resentment, and instead approach her with reverence.
That means feeding her with nourishment, not punishment.
That means moving her for joy, not just for calories burned.
That means resting her, without guilt.
It means remembering that beauty has never been about a number on a scale, and everything to do with how you carry your truth in the world.
Because here’s what I know: when you learn to live in your body with respect and love, you give every woman around you permission to do the same. You show your daughters, your sisters, your friends that it’s safe to feel good in your own skin.
And that ripple effect? It changes everything.
So today, I want to ask you a question:
What if your body has never once betrayed you?
What if, instead, she’s been fighting for you all along?
✨ If this lands in your heart, I invite you to take the next step. Sign up for The Badass Momifesto — where we reclaim not only our voice and our body, but our boundaries, our truth, and our second act.
