The Sun Is Still Shining

Jan 25, 2026

There’s a massive snowstorm ripping across the Northeast right now.

Minus 50°C temperatures.
Whiteout conditions.
Roads shut down.
Life paused.

The kind of weather that reminds you how small you actually are.

And here’s the part most people forget:

The sun is still out there.

It didn’t dim.
It didn’t flinch.
It didn’t take the day off.

The sun is shining just as brightly today, just as hot, just as powerfully as it does in the middle of July. You just can’t see it. Or feel it.

And that matters more than you think.
Because this is exactly how storms in life work.

When everything hits at once — heartbreak, burnout, grief, fear, betrayal, exhaustion — it feels like the light is gone. Like this is just your life now: Cold. Dark. Frozen.

But here’s the truth most women forget when they’re in survival mode:

The storm is not the truth.
It’s a condition.
It’s weather.
And weather always moves.

Your strength didn’t disappear.
Your clarity didn’t vanish.
Your power didn’t fail you.

It’s still there.
Steady.
Unbothered.
Unchanged.

Just like the sun.

You can’t control when storms hit.
You can’t control loss.
You can’t control timing.
You can’t control how things end.

You can’t even control the way you die. But you can control how you live.

You can choose whether you let the storm convince you that you’re broken.
Or whether you remember who you are — even when the wind is screaming.

Living well doesn’t mean pretending the storm isn’t real. It means refusing to build your identity inside it.

It means standing your ground.
Making decisions anyway.
Choosing yourself anyway.

Because here’s what no storm gets to decide:

Who you are.
What you value.
How you show up.

And one day — without force, without hustle, without proving anything — the clouds will move.
The wind will die down.
The ice will melt.

And you’ll realize something important:

You weren’t weak.
You weren’t lost.
You weren’t failing.

You were just weathering a storm.

So keep living.
Keep choosing.
Keep leading yourself forward.

The sun hasn’t gone anywhere.
